What is a die-struck pin?
Die struck pins start with a flat metal blank, usually brass or copper. They can also be made in gold, silver, and nickel and can be produced with antique finishes. This blank is then stamped between two steel dies under intense pressure.
How Are Custom Die Struck Pins Made?
Custom die struck pins are named after their manufacturing process. The inverse of your design is carefully carved in a metal “die”. This is a cylindrical piece of steel that is also called a mold. The die is put into a minting press and used to strike a strip of the base metal. This press puts hundreds or thousands of tons of pressure on the metal. When the die is lifted, the impression of your design remains. This process of manufacturing creates an incredibly durable design. It’s how coins have been made for thousands of years. The lack of paint also increases speed of production!
How Our Process Works
Step 1, The first step to getting custom Pins is simply send us your idea. It can be a sketch, photo, or logos in AI, EPS, or PDF formats.
Step 2, After you give us your design idea, we will then create a proof and we work with you until we get your approval.
Step 3, Your approved artwork will be sent to our custom Lapel Pin production line where we will machine a custom Lapel Pin mold to begin the production process! The complete process usually takes 10-14 days
Step 4, Once your Lapel Pins are completed and pass quality-control, they are packed and shipped! We ship free via UPS Next Day Air to Malaysia. addresses because no one likes to wait, especially for custom Pins.
